In the extremeties of the holiness,MAA BHAVANI temple is one of the most visited temples in BIHAR state,even a child knows the story and the power of MAA BHAVANI.
It is told about the MAA THAWE WALI that she is very kind and she listens to everyone who goes there and fufill their wishes,it's a very holy temple and a piligrimage place of Bihar,people used to go there and worship the MAA with all devotion to her. When something happens wrong in someone's house then the people use to go to the holy place and worship her so that she blesses their childs and the problem vanishes.

| MAA THAWE BHAVANI |
It is said about the RAHSHU BHAGAT that he used to talk with the Lordess DURGA in the temple,there used to be king at that time named MANAN SINGH in that area near the temple,one day the king also came to hear about the atalking activity of the RAHSHU BHAGAT and was called in the court to show the same powers and call the BHAVANI MAA to that place but RAHSHU refused to do so. He told the all courtiers and the king that he can do such thing because BHAVANI MAA will get angry and everything will be destroyed along with the king and the whole kingdom,but the king MANAN SINGH didn't listen his any of the words and said that if he doesn't call the MAA BHAVANI then he will be punished severely. Then also RAHSHU BHAGAT refused to do so,but after the intense pressure of the king,RAHSHU agreed to call MAA BHAVANI.
RAHSHU with all his powers as it is said today called MAA BHAVANI from KAMAKHYA to Kolkata via Patna,Siwan and then to THAWE, when MAA BHAVANI came to that place,from the head of the RAHSHU BHAGAT a bangle in the ladies hand shone bright,she was MAA BHAVANI showing her hand,just after this the whole kingdom and the king was destroyed along with the RAHSHU BHAGAT. After this MAA BHAVANI's temple was made at that place and besides that a second temple is also there where the great RAHSHU BHAGAT is situated who was having immense power to talk with the MAA. Originally MAA came from KAMKHYA,ASSAM state of INDIA and so this place is worshiped in the comparison as one of the SHAKTIPITHA's of the world. When people come from outside in the vacation who earn in foreign and live here,in their list of works to do one of the prior work is to visit the MAA BHAVANI temple at THAWE.
There is a very deep well situated just aside of the temple in the jungles of that area,the well is said to be endless and has a connection with the PATAL LOK as said by the people who are residing in that area.
MAA BHAVANI has endless powers and everyone is treated equally on her place,everyone is cured whosoever go there.
There is a very famous sweet and ''prasad'' called Pidukiya sold outside the temple arena and really I have been to MAA BHAVANI's place,the sweets are very tasty and are sold in the huge amount.
